The "95% confidence level" doesn't mean the RNG is 95% random. It's a statistical threshold for false positives — the chance the test wrongly flags a perfect RNG as faulty. 5% alpha = "we accept a 5% chance of rejecting an RNG that's actually fine."
If you run the same tests at 99% confidence, you only flag an RNG when the evidence is overwhelming. That sounds stricter — but it's not. It means more borderline-faulty RNGs slip through. 95% is calibrated to catch real biases without too many false alarms. Push it to 99%, and you start letting slightly-broken RNGs pass.
iTech Labs ran our RNG through 16 Diehard tests plus Chi-square analysis at four degrees of freedom (cards, suits, ranks, and full deck shuffles), against 80 million bits of generated output, twice — once for hardware RNG, once for software backup.
