Badacey

Badacey is another advanced split-pot draw poker variant, blending Ace-to-Five lowball and Badugi rules into a single hand. Like Badeucey, players receive five cards and can draw up to three times. Half the pot is awarded to the best Ace-to-Five lowball hand (A-2-3-4-5 being the nuts, flushes and straights are ignored), and the other half goes to the best Badugi hand (four cards of different suits and values).

What distinguishes Badacey from Badeucey is that flushes and straights don’t hurt the lowball hand, making it slightly easier to make strong low hands. However, the Badugi portion remains difficult, since having four suited cards or pairs ruins your Badugi.

Badacey is a test of patience, hand reading, and risk balancing. Players must constantly decide whether to go all-in on one part of the pot or hedge for both. Our software supports hand tracking, draw history, and multi-street betting. Badacey appeals to the most analytical and experienced players, and including it on your platform signals that you offer depth beyond mainstream games.
