Badeucey is a sophisticated and rare draw poker variant designed for players who crave deeper strategy and enjoy multi-dimensional thinking. It combines two popular lowball formats—2-7 Triple Draw and Badugi—into a split-pot game. Players aim to make two separate hands: one five-card hand using 2-7 lowball rules (straights and flushes count against you), and one four-card Badugi hand (different suits and ranks). Half the pot is awarded to the best 2-7 low hand, while the other half goes to the best Badugi.
Each player receives five cards and can discard and draw new ones up to three times, with a round of betting after each draw. What makes Badeucey so challenging is that you are essentially building two different hands from the same pool of cards. Often, improving one hand can hurt the other—creating constant tension between offensive and defensive play.
This variant rewards highly disciplined play, deep probability analysis, and strong reads on opponent tendencies. Badeucey is especially appealing to advanced players who want to go beyond mainstream variants and test themselves with complex hand balancing. Our implementation supports customizable draw rounds, blinds, bet caps, and detailed hand breakdowns at showdown to help players learn and adapt.
